Boxes and bags are the staple for moving - whether you're using plastic boxes and under bed storage containers, or getting cardboard ones - using suitcases, or black and plastic bags, you'll need to consider how many you need and allow for extra. You'll also need newspapers, paper, packing foam and/or bubble wrap. You'll also need tape, a marker pen and if you get them, stickers to mark your boxes.

Buying boxes and containers from hardware stores or supermarkets is a good way to get sturdy, reusable containers for your new house, but may not prove to be cost effective if you've got lots of belongings. Boxes are a good, cheap alternative to plastic containers and can be bought from websites, along with tape and stickers to mark your boxes.

Boxes are a great way to pack things into regular spaces and makes them easier to carry. You can also get boxes from supermarkets, and sometimes from recycler and on Craig’s list. Some removal firms also supply them if you're using their vans, or their moving men, or provide them if you are letting them pack for you. Packing clothes into suitcases or bags means that they are easy to transport, and easy to fit into spare spaces in your transport, but you need to make sure that the bags or cases are sturdy enough to contain your belongings well.

Cheap bags are no good if you need to use two of them or they burst when you pick them up. Snagging risks are also something you'll have to consider, as anything sharp might cause tears in your bags. Containers should all be stackable to get the most use whilst moving - or should be placed in front of your boxes so that your space is maximized whilst the move is in progress.

What are the parallels between finding your literal voice and finding your personal voice – the voice that links you to your purpose, power, and work in the world? Read on …

"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action." – Martha Graham

When I opened my mouth to sing, my voice caught in my throat. The phlegm and irritation of a passing bronchial infection was still there. My voice was gravelly and strained from several days of coughing. And the process of singing wasn't much fun. The sound coming from my body wasn't me. I cleared my throat a couple of times, but it was still rough.

Instead of pushing, I lessened the pressure on my throat and kept singing lightly, watching and waiting for my sound to show up. I breathed deeply, imagining the sound coming up from my center. Gradually, the sound smoothed out until I was singing with the connected sound I know to be me.

Standing there, experimenting with finding my voice, I started thinking about the parallels between finding my singing or speaking voice and finding my symbolic or metaphorical voice.

The physical voice flows from a connection between breath and vocal chords. The metaphorical voice is a unique relationship between a person's values and vision and how they are expressed in action. When I "find my voice," I find my sense of purpose. I know what I'm about and express myself with much more ease.

When I lose my voice, I can find it again in ways similar to the process I use to regain my singing voice:
  • I don't push. Obstacles are a signal to lessen the pressure, dig deeper, and reconnect with what is important.

  • I breathe deeply and speak from center. When I speak from center, both my literal and figurative voices are strong, clear, and more easily heard.

  • I practice.Losing my voice is signal for me to stop, look, and practice finding it again. Gradually I get clear on what "my voice" sounds and feels like, and I'm able to regain it more easily.
  • As Martha Graham suggests, find the vitality, the life force, and the energy that is your voice. With practice, it will become powerful and effortless.

    Article Body:
The other day I was reading a very interesting article concerning a shark attack that occurred way back in 1916. It played off along the North East coast of the U.S. and concerned a great white shark, that had been had been terrorizing the New Jersey beaches.

Now everybody knows and accepts that a shark is a creature of the sea and needs salty water to survive. Therefore nobody thought that a shark may attack them in freshwater, but that is exactly what happened later that year.

This particular shark remained close to the shore and eventually swam up a river stream around Raritan Bay, attacking a couple of bathers upstream.

Shortly before the attacks occurred, a retired Sea captain, by the name of Thomas Cottrell saw this shark swimming upstream while crossing a bridge. He couldn't believe his eyes, but nevertheless got into his boat and raised the alarm. Not surprisingly nobody believed him. "A shark in a river? C'mon, get real, It's not possible."

But you know what? As incredible as it seemed there was a shark in the river and all those who didn't heed the warnings were in danger of being attacked.

Eventually this shark killed two people. The first victim was a teenager who may or may not have heard Cottrell's warning. Shortly after this attack another man jumped in the water to look for the victim, even though he was told there is a shark in the water. He too was attacked and died from a severe loss of blood.

While reading this I couldn't help thinking about September 11 and see the parallels between these two stories.

When asked by the U.S. Congress and the media, why "clues" which should have been picked up were disregarded, the heads of the FBI and CIA as well as members of the Bush administration replied, "We didn't think they would use airplanes as missiles."

Had the FBI and CIA believed that something like what happened on 9/11 was possible they might have put measures into place which would likely have prevented this from happening. But they didn't, even though the hijackers left dozens of "clues."

Similarly if the swimmers at the US East Coast had believed Captain Cottrell when he told them there was a shark in the river, chances are that nobody would have been killed by this shark on that day.

But because they believed it is "impossible" for a shark to be found in freshwater they disregarded the warning altogether, just as the US law enforcement agencies did, resulting in many paying with their lives.

On the other hand there are human beings who overcame extraordinary odds and accomplished great feats. Everyday we hear stories of people who were told by the so-called "experts" they didn't have what it took, yet made it regardless.

The lesson here is that anything is possible, both the good and the bad. By believing or not believing in something doesn't mean you will not be affected by whatever happens. But it means that based on what you believe, you may take some action which may save you from something terrible or may get you out of a terrible situation.
There are many of us who are in terrible situations, including poverty, unhappiness, debt, etc. Those of us who have changed their situation, did it because they believed they could make it.

Those who don't obviously don't believe that they can change their situation otherwise they would have done something about it, right?

How many opportunities have you missed just because you thought it wouldn't work or wasn't possible. Just think what you could do if you believed that you could do anything, even realise your dreams?

What great talent do you have which you have done nothing about, because you probably believed you can't do it.

I hope to have shown you through this short article that anything is possible. And that by just believing, "I Can," your battle is already half-won.

If someone is interested in radio controlled hobbies, they almost always start with a car. Unlike a boat or a plane, cars usually won’t be completely destroyed if they fail. It is very easy to make a basic radio controlled car, but as you do it you will discover that there is a huge amount of knowledge that can be gained. As you gain this knowledge, you can start to use advanced techniques to create cars that are stronger, faster, or more efficient than your previous ones. You can throw one together in a few minutes, or you can spend months creating an amazing car with superb speed and handling. The amount of effort you put into it is entirely up to you.

If you are just starting with radio controlled hobbies, it is probably wise to just buy a pre-made radio controlled car. You can buy these in toy shops almost anywhere. It may be slow and clumsy, and it may not satisfy your technological urges, but it is a good place to start. Play with it for a couple of days, and then take it apart. Look at the way the motors are connected to the wheels, and look at the general architecture of the car. After you understand it all, you will have much better luck when you start to build your own. You may even be able to use a few parts, such as the body of the car or the radio equipment. The motors will probably not be as strong as you would like.

After you have gained this essential basic understanding of the way that radio controlled cars work, you can start on whatever you want your next project to be. For most people, their goal is to build a model car from wood or plastic, install the electrical components, paint it, apply decals, and basically get it looking as good and performing as good as possible. Others may want to build an incredibly fast remote controlled car to show off to friends. No matter what you want to do, you will only be able to achieve it if you take it one step at a time and learn everything there is to know about remote controlled hobbies.

Many different resources can help you out along your way to becoming an expert in radio controlled hobbies. You will probably be spending a lot of time researching all of the different information that you need. You can find it all over the internet, including many different tutorials. For more specific questions, you can go to community groups and forums. This is where people from all over the world gather together on the internet to discuss their hobby, support each other, and brag about their latest accomplishments. Usually they are very welcoming to newcomers, especially if you are very clear and polite in asking your question.

Radio controlled cars don’t have to be without competition. If you want to put your car up against those of other enthusiasts, you can find many different races and exhibitions around the world. Just do a quick internet search, and find out what the nearest option is. You might have to take a weekend trip, but it will be worth it to be around those who are as passionate as you about what you are doing. These meetings may include races, or just a good old convention to share tips and tricks with other radio hobbyists. You would be surprised at the large amount of information that you can learn from the people who go to these events.

Starting a new hobby may be daunting at first, since there is a wealth of information that you probably know nothing about. However, if you just get started with the basics and use all of your resources that are at your disposal, you will be able to succeed.
